During discussions in Shanghai, Chinese President Xi Jinping informed his Kazakhstani colleague Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that bilateral relations had achieved a new historic high as the two nations inked more than 70 economic deals totaling more than $13 billion (€11.4 billion).
“The long-term, all-encompassing strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan has advanced to a new level as a result of our combined efforts. On the fringes of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Xi stated, “There is still a lot of opportunity for further growth.”
Chinese investment in Kazakhstan has exceeded $30 billion (€26.2 billion), while trade between the two nations has reached $49 billion (€42.8 billion) annually.
As Beijing continues to be Astana’s biggest economic partner, more than 8,500 Chinese-backed businesses already operate in Kazakhstan. “Our country is always ready to create a business climate for Chinese investors.” We promise contemporary infrastructure, a trained staff, and legal security for investors,” Tokayev stated.
